Custom photography provides a unique experience to work one-on-one with a photographer to capture the true essence of your family. This begins at your complimentary pre-session consultation where we begin to create your vision! We will work together and take our time during the session to make sure that everyone is comfortable and we capture the portraits you desire. These images are then professionally edited to provide you with amazing heirloom products you will treasure for years to come! Custom photography is a luxury I encourage you to experience!
What are your session fees?
There are no session or sitting fees with your signature or newborn session. It is so very important that you come away with from this experience with artwork you can proudly display in your home for years to come! All products are sold A La Carte, giving you the freedom to customize the order which fits your family's style. A non-refundable retainer is due at your time of booking to secure your session date, and will be applied to your final purchase.
What can I expect from a regular family session?
A regular session typically will last approximately an hour, although some run a little longer. I allow the children to dictate the speed of the session. Some children need to warm up to the idea of being photographed, and that is okay! I ask that parents do not get upset as children's moods tend to change quickly, and we will always get images you will love. Posed shots are offered, but I find the natural interactions among the families tend to be the best images of the day.
What can I expect from a newborn session?
A newborn session will typically last between 2-4 hours. Some babies cooperate quickly while others may need some time to settle into a sleepy state. Feedings may happen more often than you may be used to as we move baby around and having a pacifier, even if not regularly used, will help to soothe the baby. Styled newborn sessions all take place in the studio where you will have access to all props and accessories. If you are interested in a lifestyle session, those will occur in your home typically in the baby's nursery.
Where do outdoor sessions Take place?
Our city and the surrounding areas offer some amazing parks and scenery! I travel around the general Pittsburgh area, and can offer you suggestions convenient to your location. Urban, rural and studio sessions are all available.
What is a Styled-session?
Styled-sessions are offered throughout the year. They are themed sessions with a specific look and designated location.
